What to know before you book here
Book early, genuinely
This is the market where late booking hurts most. When the island fleet is gone it is gone, and the remaining classes are whatever nobody wanted.
Unpaved roads and beaches
Nearly every US rental agreement prohibits driving on unpaved roads and beaches, and Hawaii is where travellers most often break that without realising. Doing so typically voids coverage. Ask us what your supplier’s terms actually say.
Hotel parking is a second cost
Waikiki hotel parking is charged per night and is not trivial. Factor it in before deciding whether you need the car for the whole stay or only part of it.

What this class really meansOn terminal logistics. Counter locations, shuttle arrangements and opening hours at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport are set by the airport and the rental suppliers and do change. Your agent confirms the current pickup instructions for your specific supplier and booking in writing before you travel, rather than relying on anything printed on a website.
