One trip. Multiple rental options. One clear total.
A major U.S. airport may have several rental companies, and the lowest price can vary by location, date, vehicle class, and rental terms. That means the first price you see may not be the best available option for your trip.
Odovera is an independent travel agency. We send your rental request to multiple suppliers, compare the available options, and provide the total price for each option in writing, so you can see what you are paying before you book.
The daily rate is the number everyone competes on. It is not the number you pay.
Two things decide what a rental actually costs you: which supplier you ended up with, and the total once taxes, airport fees and add‑ons are counted. Most people never see more than one of those. We built the agency around both.
We compare multiple suppliers
Your rental request can be compared across multiple suppliers based on the same dates, vehicle class, and pickup location. We present the available options clearly, along with the differences that matter to your booking.
The total, clearly stated
Each quote shows the estimated total in writing, including the base rate, applicable taxes and fees, selected add-ons, and our service fee. Where applicable, supplier-specific charges and terms are also identified.
One name for your booking
Your booking is handled by a named agent who can assist from the initial quote through the end of your rental. You have a clear point of contact instead of having to explain your trip from the beginning each time.
Independent by design
Odovera does not own or operate a rental fleet. We work with rental suppliers, giving us the flexibility to compare available options based on your trip rather than filling vehicles from our own fleet.
A rental brand can only show you its own cars. Odovera brings your options together.
That is not a criticism, it is what it is for. But it cannot tell you the counter two doors down is cheaper on your dates, that the value brand’s deposit rules will not work with the card you are carrying, or that the one-way drop fee can differ substantially between suppliers for the same route.
Because we do not own a fleet, the comparison is the product. We check the suppliers that actually operate at your location on your dates and quote the ones worth considering properly — including the ones that pay us less.
- Same dates, same class, same location, quoted across suppliers
- The all‑in total for each, with taxes and airport fees counted
- The counter rules and deposit for each, confirmed before you commit
- A recommendation, with the reason for it stated plainly
What we check on every supplier
The line items that decide what a rental actually costs — most of which never appear next to a daily rate.
| Base rate & taxes | The advertised number, plus what is added to it |
| Airport & concession fees | Often 20–30% of the total at an airport counter |
| Security deposit | Varies by supplier, class and payment method |
| Card rules | Whether your card is accepted at that location at all |
| Young-driver surcharge | Charged per day, and not on every supplier’s quote |
| One-way drop fee | Often the widest gap between suppliers |
| Location & shuttle | Off-airport can be cheaper, or a false economy |
We are not claiming to be cheapest — nobody can promise that on every trip. We are claiming to check, and to show you what we found.
How a booking actually goes
No account to create, no card details typed into a form before you have seen a number.
Tell us the trip
Dates, city or airport, how many people and bags, and anything unusual — a second driver, a one‑way, a ferry, a debit card.
We quote the total
Two or three supplier options with the all‑in estimate for each, plus the counter rules that apply to your booking, in writing.
You approve, we book
Nothing is reserved until you say yes to a specific option. We send you the supplier’s confirmation number as soon as the reservation is in place.
You collect the car
At the supplier’s counter, where you sign the rental agreement directly with them. Your agent’s contact details are on the confirmation if anything goes wrong.
What we charge. Odovera earns a commission from the rental supplier on most bookings. Where a service fee applies instead of or in addition to that commission, the amount is shown as a separate line on your quote before you approve it. We do not add unannounced charges, and we never pass on a fee you have not already seen.
Book the class that fits the trip, not the one that fits the ad
US rental classes are booked by category, not by model — "or similar" is doing real work on every confirmation in the industry. Here is what each category actually gives you.
Economy
- 4 seats
- 2 small bags
- Best fuel economy
The least expensive class in most fleets. Fine for two adults, city driving and short highway runs; tight on luggage and on long climbs with a full load.
What this class really meansCompact
- 5 seats
- 2 bags
- Easy to park
One size up from economy. Noticeably better on the interstate, still small enough for old downtowns and tight garages.
What this class really meansMidsize sedan
- 5 seats
- 3 bags
- Long-drive comfort
The default American road-trip car. Comfortable at highway speed for hours, sensible on fuel, big enough for a family of four with luggage.
What this class really meansFull-size sedan
- 5 seats
- 4 bags
- Extra rear legroom
More rear legroom and more boot than a midsize, without moving up to an SUV’s fuel bill.

We book with these companies. We are not any of them.
Odovera is an independent travel agency, not a car rental company, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of the brands below. We name them so you know who your reservation would be placed with — and we quote them against each other rather than assuming one wins.

All brand names and trademarks above belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify rental suppliers. More about each supplier.
We are a travel agency. That is the whole business model.
Odovera does not own vehicles, does not run counters and does not employ the person who hands you the keys. We hold a relationship with car rental suppliers and we book on your behalf, which means our value is the work around the booking — not a fleet.
Saying that plainly matters. A lot of car rental advertising is designed to look like it comes from the rental company itself. Ours is not.
What we do
- Compare suppliers for your specific dates and class
- Quote the all-in total, with fees itemised
- Confirm the counter rules that apply to you
- Quote several suppliers against each other
- Handle changes, cancellations and supplier escalations
What we do not do
- Own, insure or maintain vehicles
- Operate rental counters or set supplier policy
- Decide whether your card or licence is accepted
- Guarantee a specific make or model
- Claim any affiliation with a rental brand
The questions people ask before trusting an agency
Is Odovera a car rental company?
No. Odovera is an independent travel agency, a brand of Affluence Hospitality LLC. We arrange car rental reservations with third-party rental suppliers on your behalf. We do not own, operate, insure or maintain vehicles, we do not staff rental counters, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any car rental brand. Your rental agreement is signed directly with the supplier at the counter, under that supplier’s own terms.
Is it safe to book a rental car through an agency instead of direct?
It can be, provided you know who you are dealing with and what you are actually holding. The complaints people report about online booking middlemen tend to come from the same three places: a reservation that never reached the rental company, a headline price that was not the real total, and nobody to call when the counter says no.
Judge any agency on those three points, including us. We send you the rental supplier’s own confirmation number, not just our internal reference, so your booking exists in their system and you can verify it with them yourself. We put the all-in estimated total in writing, with the fees named, before you commit to anything. And your booking has a named agent whose contact details are on your confirmation. Our legal entity, registered address and phone number are on the contact page, and our terms set out exactly what we are responsible for and what the supplier is.
What if I arrive and the rental company has no record of my booking?
This is the classic third-party booking failure, and the protection against it is the supplier’s own confirmation number. Once your reservation is placed we send you that number, issued by the rental company, in your name. It lives in their system, not only in ours, and you can check it with them directly before you travel — we would rather you did.
If you are standing at the counter and something is wrong, call your agent before you sign anything or accept a different rate. That is the moment an agency is most useful, and it is much harder to fix afterwards.
Will I pay more than if I booked direct with the rental company?
Usually not, and you should hold us to it. On most bookings the supplier pays us a commission out of the rate you were going to pay anyway, so the amount you pay is the same as booking that supplier directly. Where a service fee applies instead, it appears as its own labelled line on the quote before you approve anything.
There are cases where booking direct genuinely wins — a corporate rate, a loyalty discount, a members-only promotion we cannot access. Where we can see that is the case, we tell you rather than quoting around it.
What does Odovera charge me?
On most bookings we are paid a commission by the rental supplier, at no additional cost to you. Where a service fee applies instead of or in addition to that commission, it appears as a separate, clearly labelled line on your written quote before you approve anything. You will not see a charge from us that was not on the quote you agreed to.
Who do I call if something goes wrong — you or the rental company?
Call us first, at any point before or during the rental. Your agent knows your file, knows what was quoted, and can escalate to the supplier on your behalf.
Two limits worth being clear about. At the counter, the supplier decides whether to release a car to you, and we cannot overrule that. And once you have signed their rental agreement, charges they assess afterwards — fuel, damage, tolls, penalties — are raised by them and resolved with them. We will advocate for you and chase them. We cannot waive their charges.
Does the search form on this site book my car?
No. The search form sends a quote request to an agent. It does not take payment, does not display live supplier inventory and does not reserve a vehicle. A reservation exists only after an agent has sent you a written all-in total, you have approved a specific option, and we have sent you the supplier’s confirmation number.
When do I pay, and do you take my card details?
You do not enter card details anywhere on this website, and there is normally nothing to pay to place a booking. Most reservations we make are pay-at-the-counter: you present your card to the rental company at pickup, and they take the rental charge and the security deposit.
Where a rate is prepaid, or where a service fee applies, your agent tells you before you approve it and explains how that payment is collected securely. If anything claiming to be Odovera ever asks you to type a full card number into a web form, it is not us — please report it to us.
Can I see which rental company my booking is with before I commit?
Yes, every time. Each quote names the rental supplier, the exact pickup location, the vehicle class and the estimated total. We do not book anyone with an unnamed “supplier to be confirmed”. If you would rather not use a particular company, tell your agent and we will quote around it.
Why not just book direct with the rental company?
You can, and sometimes that is the right answer — if you hold a corporate rate or real loyalty status with one brand, booking direct is hard to beat. What a rental company’s own website cannot do is tell you that a different brand is cheaper at that airport on your dates, that its deposit is half the size, or that its counter will not accept the card you are carrying. We check several suppliers against each other, put the all-in total for each in writing, and tell you which one we recommend and why — including when the answer is one that pays us less.
Tell us the trip. We will come back with the total.
An agent will quote the options worth considering with every fee counted — usually within a business day.
